Hi, I'm Charlene

I'm a Registered Psychotherapist, Mindfulness Coach and the founder of The Mindfulness Journey. 

And 7 years ago I was hit by a bus....

Yup, a bus. For real. I ended up with a traumatic brain injury, multiple skull fractures, and eventually underwent 4 neurosurgeries before my prosthetic bone flap was inserted. So, I know a thing or two about anxiety :)

This accident is what started me on my own mindfulness journey. 

What I learned during that time is that mindfulness works. That starting a practice is about consistency. That is doesn't matter if you practice for 5 minutes or 50 minutes a day just as long as you practice. That the more you meditate, the "easier" it gets, and that you too can create a life overwhelm one moment at a time. 

Guided Meditations

Short meditations will be provided for you to listen to at a time & place in your day that works best for you.


You will receive worksheets to track your meditations so you can learn more about your practice and that thoughts that arose throughout the challenge.

Daily Prompts

Each day of the challenge you will receive a prompt via email with that day's task. It might be to listen to the provided meditation or to bring mindfulness to an activity of your choice. Each task will take you less than 10 minutes to complete.
